Friday The 13th of December
What are you talking about? Everybody likes Denny's, it's an American institution.
Today’s Quote:
“Christmas, in its final essence, is for grown people who have forgotten what children know. Christmas is for whoever is old enough to have denied the unquenchable spirit of man.”

Reviews:
Since it’s Friday the 13th, a CHRISTMAS HORROR review!
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010, available on Prime): 5 SLAUGHTERED reindeer
Some (me) would consider this movie a classic, a must-watch each year in between the sappy goodness that are classic Christmas movies and the otherworldly insanity of Hallmark/Lifetime/Netflix films. “Rare Exports” tells the heart-warming tale of a boy bonding with his father after his mother dies (CLASSIC) as they attempt to defeat an evil Santa Claus from kidnapping and presumably eating (??) the other children in their small town.
In a small Finnish town near Lapland, a young boy (Pietari) and his father run a small family-owned reindeer SLAUGHTERHOUSE and aren’t getting the numbers they need in terms of reindeer to be SLAUGHTERED and decide to investigate. They journey to the wilderness and discover that the reindeer are not being properly SLAUGHTERED by them, but instead by what looks to be some wild animal. Pietari does not like the feeling of this, and soon learns that all his friends are being kidnapped and replaced by straw effigys(!) and that the British mining company nearby has been digging for “Santa Claus” and managed to dig him up. Turns out Santa could not be a worse person and commands a bunch of crazy elves who SLAUGHTER REINDEER and kidnap children for unknown and likely violent reasons.
Pietari and his father have to work together in order to stop Santa and his elves from taking all the children of the village away and presumably SLAUGHTERING them, all before Christmas Day. This movie has it all: Christmas, SLAUGHTERHOUSES, father-son bonding, you name it. I’d recommend making this movie a Christmas tradition in your households, you won’t be disappointed.
